My Toothless Wonder

Someone figured out that he can stick things in his mouth.

He doesn't have control of his hands yet, but more and more he's stretching his little fingers all the way open, then suddenly closing them in a tight grasp. I've used this to get him to hold a rattle a couple times earlier this week.

He's also started to drool. He drools on my shoulder, on the Boppy during tummy time, on his hands as he gnaws them, and down his chin occasionally. Gross. I told him that if I didn't know better, and if he were a few months older, I'd swear he was teething.

Today I got one of those baby development emails from BabyCenter, and guess what it said? That's right, he could possibly be teething. Some babies apparently can get teeth as early as three months, but the teething business (drool, sticking things like blankets and fists into mouths for gnawing) can start a full month before.

Go figure.

Dang that's a cute baby!
