GTT - I'll be on the left
'Cause I passed my glucose tolerance test! WOOT!(Get it? Passing lane joke? Lame, I know!)
I was so worried about it, because I had three of the four major risk factors listed on the Mayo Clinic website for gestational diabetes. Also, the day I took the test, I didn't know I was going to take the test, and I had a BIG bowl of Cookie Crisp cereal for breakfast. I know that's BAD, but it was the only thing in the house! But, it doesn't matter, because I passed! Yay!
I am "slightly" anemic though, according to my doctor, so I need to start taking iron supplements. I'm okay with that, considering what I could have to be dealing with here. Also, strangely enough, my skin culture came back negative for shingles, so they don't know WHAT I have. I had three different doctors look at it, and they all had said the same thing! She said that since the medication seems to be working, and the rash looks like it's getting better, to keep taking it though.
I feel sometimes like I am 100 years old with all my pill bottles, aches, pains, tiredness, small appetite... I keep telling myself THREE MORE MONTHS! That's right, I'm in the last trimester. This is the home stretch here, and then all of this - the constant pee breaks, the heartburn, the inability to walk even a few blocks without being pathetically winded - it's all going to be SO worth it.
I'm gonna have me a baby!
