Glucose test today
I went to the doctor to have my rash looked at today. They decided that since I was already there, they would go ahead and give my my glucose tolerance test. Surprise!I'll tell you, for all the warnings and horror stories you hear about this, it was SO not bad. I guess that's another reason to limit message board reading. There are a lot of drama queens in cyberspace! It tasted like fruit punch, it was a small bottle (maybe 10 oz?) and in all honesty, we made Koolaid WAY sweeter than that when I was a kid. Heck, the Hi-C orange drink they serve at McDonalds is sweeter than that!
It took me maybe two or three minutes to drink the whole thing. The baby liked it, he started kicking within another five to ten minutes. While the doctor was trying to listen to his heartbeat, he was trying to kick the doppler and hide. What a cutie!
Oh, and my rash? Shingles. I'm SO very not happy about that right now. I've got a prescription and hopefully it will clear up soon.
